Viscose and lurex laminate (Lanificio Faliero Sarti, Prato), shantung silk. Rearranged decoration on a 1960s mitre. Embroidered with 326 gemstones, including 88 tiger’s eye beads, 180 morione quartz beads and 36 rock crystal beads. X REGIO is a Catholic and Orthodox paramentics company founded in Treviso in 1995 by Stefano Zanella and Gianluca Scattolin, and now based in Venice. The cut, decoration and choice of fabrics are the fruit of long and meticulous research into the development of liturgical vestments since the Paleochristian era.
