Chalice veil

The four corners are adorned with gold and silver embroidery. In the center, at the bottom of the veil, is a similarly embroidered cross, and in the middle, within a circle enhanced with pearls, the monogram I.H.S. The Musée de la Visitation de Moulins brings together and presents to the public the collections of paramentiquary and goldsmith’s art from numerous monasteries of the Visitation Sainte-Marie, whose nuns have distinguished themselves, since their foundation in the early 17th century, by the excellence of their needlework.
