Keychain

Is a pendant and its “coffee bean” chain really a bead? This small promotional accessory is from the Parisian discothèque Golf-Drouot. Handed out at the bar by a representative of the sparkling wine Alsace Perle Sainte-Odile d’Obernai, this keychain combines two types of collections: copoclephilia, born in the 1960s with the consumerist culture, and buticalamicrophilia, collecting miniature bottles. This pear-shaped green bottle is curved at the label, with gothic lettering underneath an illustration of a pendant of St. Odile, the teardrop shape of the bottle also referencing her regaining sight.
