The sabretache is made of brown leather, its front side is covered with green velvet. The Hungarian coat of arms with crown is framed by embroidered palmettes, sewn richly with pearls. The Holy Crown, slightly protruding from the base, is embroidered with gold and freshwater pearls. The coat of arms is made of painted embossed silver sheet. Its frame is series of loops made of pearl string, and silver paillettes are sewn on its rim. Its shape and make, reminding of hussar sabretaches, suggest a military use. However, the coat of rams of the noble family or the monarch is missing. Its precious and meticulous decoration proves the owner’s high rank and wealth.
