Bebe Seet is one of Singapore’s leading Peranakan beadwork designers, known for reviving the art of Peranakan beadwork in the 1990s. This bag is one of her earliest works and was made with antique beads. “Bebe” appears on the back in bright red beads. After completing the beaded decorative surface, it was made into a bag by Chan Yew, a company of third generation artisans that specialises in leather accessories and repair work.
