The cap is completely encrusted with gold wire embroidery, silk, sequins and multi-colored glass beads. The embroidery motif is large floral. The influences of the Central European cultural pattern especially baroque, are noticeable in its appearance. Each motif had its own meaning – the rose symbolized the girl, the acorn signified health, and the lily as heroism.
Cap was worn by richer brides, peasant girls of the middle Banat. The bride received it as a gift from her father-in-law or mother-in-law. She wore it for 2-3 years after the wedding.
